We’re Almost There

Fully knowing that we’re not at 100%, we still wanted to go through with a soft opening. We also fully understand that people are likely to be unaware of the hundreds of little details it took to construct a gym but will notice the few details we overlook — and this would be good for us.

Initially, we depend on you guys to give us feedback, so that we can meet and exceed expectations by the time we have a grand opening (date to be announced).

Anyway, we had our inaugural exercise sessions yesterday while the audio guys were still testing out the sound system, which is part of an elaborate media network within the building. (I believe I counted well over a billion remote controllers.)

And we’re thankful for daylight saving time. The huge light bulbs have not been installed by the electrician, and we were operating by the light through the large windows and by the smaller light bulbs within the 5 ceiling fans. We weren’t in the dark, but I prefer a well-lighted environment.

At least people stayed cool with circulating air from the wonderful fans.

As for the exercise sessions? Muscles got worked, sweat glands were stimulated, and heart rates were elevated. I truly believe that people had a great time and truly enjoyed their workouts (even if some dread exercise)!

The floor space is open and uncluttered, which offers the psychological freedom to explore interesting and fun movements, and the physical freedom to enjoy activities that greatly enhance health and physical fitness.

Open space offers nearly unlimited options to engage in functional, whole-body exercises, which are superior to machine-based exercises in nearly every way.

The body moves in 3D. And it’s how we do it at T3D.

This is our last blog post about our journey to opening The 3rd Door. We will continue blogging at our official blog site Fitness Food Friends. (I will either comeback to link this blog to the official blog, or I’ll just transfer the content of this blog over.)

As such, the new blog content will focus more on fitness, food, and friends. Stay tuned.

Best,

Johnny
